DORCAS MBEVO

FOUNDER / CEO: VONGA BEAUTY LLC - CONGOLESE ENTREPRENEURS & HEART OF DEIZZY FOUNDATION 

Dorcas Mbevo was born in Kinshasa the capital city of Democratic Republic of Congo and raised in the Republic of Namibia. Prior to moving to the states Dorcas was an HIV/AIDS Management & Psychology student at the International University of Management also knows as I.U.M.  She is currently a Criminal Justice student and an Assistant Private Investigator living in Florida.

She joined the entertainment industry in 2011 initially as a pageant & runway model. To date she had walked for Couture Fashion Week during New York Fashion Week in 2017, The Namibian Diamond in 2012, she was Miss Youth Namibia 2013 and worked with Namibian leading artists such as D-Naff & Martin Morocky, just to name a few. In 2014 Dorcas served as Namibia’s CommonWealth Representative at the Miss CommonWealth Beauty Pageant where she highlighted the importance of giving back and taking care of our communities especially the children as they are our future leaders. 
In 2018 Dorcas also known as Deizzy decided to call it quits with her first love « modeling » and focused on her nonprofit organization HEART OF DEIZZY FOUNDATION, a year later in 2019 she followed through with her entrepreneurial desires and launched her Cruelty Free / Vegan makeup brand VONGA BEAUTY LLC (www.vongabeauty.com) which made the cut for British Vogue Magazine 2020 December Issue under their Beauty Not Pout theme which aimed at highlighting emerging makeup to watch. 
Making her and Vonga Beauty LLC the first Congolese owned beauty brand to be featured in any Vogue Magazine.
Dorcas saw the gab within the Congolese communities in terms of recognizing and uplifting Congolese entrepreneurs. 
Congolese music is well known & respected globally but we had no platform that focuses solely on entrepreneurs from Congo Kinshasa as well as Congo Brazzaville.  February of 2020 was the beginning of an idea she been holding on to for years and Dorcas posted her first Congolese Entrepreneur on a now @congoleseentrepreneurs Instagram page (www.Instagram.com/Congoleseentrepreneurs).
With the platform she hopes to not only highlight Congolese owned business / Entrepreneurs but to also share social and economic issues in the Congo 🇨🇩 🇨🇬.
